Hey, I've got an idea that ought to help us get stuff done, For this we need a folkperson that does concepts. Anyone interested?
Pretty much, Just doodle a small outpost with whatever you think it needs, include a hanger and a shuttle if you want even. Oh, And the whole surroundings too, if you're up to it.
I'd be more than happy to see what multiple peoples ideas for this are, So feel free to do more than one, or have several people working on several different mockups as well.
Doing this should help us come up with a bit of content, as well as work on the actual mapping framework, and the tiles we will need to use.

I'd enjoy doing it, if you're okay with it.

Let's have it for Bad Idea #1! Hooray for freehand! This is why I do pixel art.

gee, that was fast.
What are your thoughts on there being a "Warehouse" job, related to logistics?
Think of it as working "on the floor" at a commercial/retail store, You'll have to manage shrinkage, stocks, purchases, delivery/recieving, and a whole bunch of paperwork.

I'm guessing it would be like the current Cargo job? I would love to have a heavy-paperwork job that involves stock, inventories, shipping, manufacturing and budget that would make sure that every department is supplied, and supplying. Then you could have the grunts that move shipments from centcomm to station, then to department.

I really like how you did yours lor, what'd you use to make it? I like how far medical is from life support, it gives it less of a chance of getting blown up. The only problem I see with it is that security is rather small, with little room for prisoner storage.

Thank you. For art I use Photoshop and Sketchbook but for pixelart only Photoshop. The main idea behind this station layout is a multipurpose one. With only ~12 crewmembers it would be rather over the top to bring in a huge brig with more than 1 cell and other security related rooms. You could be able to maintain this station with 1 full-time and 1 voluntairy security member.

yeah, for the playtesting crew i didnt plan on having more than that anyways. my idea of cells was to juxst cuff them to a chair till you find something better to do with em.
i like the layout, but if i were to use it, i would cut out the solar arrays, and add on a warehouse+manufacture to cargo, and a detached facility for science/research.

Another station. This time it's the bigger version of "Roundhouse" with about 30 inhabitants and mainly focused on research.

Here we go. Bad idea #2. I ditched the freehand this time, and did a more realistic and efficient layout. I also added room for expansion. Note that this is my idea for an initial, starting station, rather than a fully-build, self-sustaining layout. This station would have limited resources, and no room for research. At this point, it is nothing but an outpost with the capacity to house ~10 people.

What is that font, lorathor?
Also, i like your ideas par, but i may add another department in the middle area somewhere, i like the long main hallway down to commons though, so i'll keep that. It may just be an extension of storage and life support. The common room may be made a bit smaller as well.

What about the asteroid/planet chunks? Feel free to use textures and whatnot as well, it helps.
